Sheila Parizeau

"Sure, I've got tons of room"

"Sure, I've got tons of room"

Sheila was known for her hospitality.  I often drove by her house and saw an unfamiliar car parked out front with out-of-state plates.  She loved having guests and was always inviting people to come stay at her house.  My cousin, Ted and his wife, Ginna, wrote me a nice note about how much they enjoyed her warm welcome when they were in town from Buffalo.  I know she loved it every time they came to town.

Our family was a prime beneficiary of Sheila's open door invitation when she moved to Wellesley. Liza and Ellie gave us lots of opportunities to come to Boston regularly.

We stayed with Sheila many, many times (embarrassed to tell you the number of times). She was always gracious, welcoming, kind, great company and thoughtful. She never hesitated to say yes when we would reluctantly call (always worrying we were imposing) and would quickly remind us that the key was over the door in its super secret place.

The highlights always included cups of tea, late night talks, warm conversation about family, several funny stories, special treats in the fridge, Sunday mass and a regular visit from grandkids or cousins just stopping by to visit. We always left Sheila's home feeling better about life's challenges and having our hearts warmed by this incredible family.

She was at the center of the Parizeau family and when you were in her circle, you got to know all the others in the orbit. All of the Parizeaus help us to love life through their smiles, stories and laughter. Thank you for the special times at Chez Parizeau.

We love you Sheila and will always miss you.

Love, Ted and Ginna
